Chris Perkins
Chris "Crispy" Perkins came to the Grays almost by accident towards the end of the 2002 season. The Grays were playing an exhibition game in Seekonk against the New York Gothams. The game was virtually in his back yard, so he found himself among the villagers gathered for the game. He decided that he could patrol the outfield better than the men the Grays had, and demanded a trial. Since then, he has been a fixture in the center garden. He is one of the surest catches on the nine, and makes valuable contributions with the bat as well. He also serves as an instructor at the Wheeler Academy, has a wife and young son, and generally presents the outward appearance of a contented and productive member of modern society. |
