Kevin Neves is one of the most recent addition to the Providence Grays membership, having made his first appearance in the midst of the 2004 season. He is a native of Portsmouth, R.I., and later resided in West Warwick. Although he now resides far from Rhode Island, he still makes greater contributions to the team than many local residents. He is both a college graduate and a gentleman, both being unusual traits in the base ball fraternity. One of the youngest players on the Grays, he has been an important contributor, both as guardian of the second sack and at the plate. His style is not full of flash, but he has the knack for a base hit in the pinch, just when it is needed most.
